“Since I was a little girl, I have always been attracted by the beautiful dresses of musicals, it is thanks to my grandmother that I got a taste for them by watching movies from the 50s together. But when I went to his studio, the most fascinating, it was all these little buttons that rested in that metal box like inaccessible treasures. When, while hunting for new collections, I found myself in front of old buttons, it seemed natural to me that this was where my path was.” Since 2011 in her Parisian workshop, Géraldine Bellanger has been designing and shaping jewelry made from antique glass paste buttons from the 1920s to the 1950s. Coming from ancestral know-how, these vintage buttons from fashion houses are the clear testimony of an artistically rich age. These pieces of rare elegance and unparalleled refinement, are transformed into jewelry in order to highlight them while sublimating women.
