About SECTION 35

SECTION 35 is an Indigenous owned streetwear brand based on the Unceded Territories of the Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Vancouver. SECTION 35 was founded in 2014 and officially launched in March 2016 with the goal and mission to use art and fashion to tell the stories and truths of Indigenous Peoples. Creative Director, Justin Jacob Louis’, work blends the past with the present, and the inspiration that comes from the juxtaposition of the two. SECTION 35 has been featured in Vogue, Complex and numerous other publications over the year. In 2022, SECTION 35 had work featured at the Metropolitan Museum of New York’s “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” Exhibition alongside some of biggest designers in America. The brand has shown on numerous runways from Indigenous Fashion Arts in Toronto among others. Creative Director, Justin Jacob Louis was nominated for Menswear Designer of the Year by the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
