You’ve probably heard the word sonder by now, but you might not know what it means. It’s “the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.” Which, really, just means empathy. That’s something I strive for in myself and something I want Sonder Goods to embody. I’m Annie, and like me, Sonder Goods has been on a journey—starting as a jewelry brand in 2018, then evolving to showcase artisans from developing countries and their beautiful home goods, and now finding its home in personal fragrances and candles. My husband, Matt, joined the fun in late 2020 after we got married, and each scent is named after a place that holds personal meaning for us.
