After growing up in a family with sensitive stomachs and getting to a place of feeling bloated & in pain with everything and anything Amber ate, she got fed up at the ripe age of 24. She went down the rabbit hole of trying every way of eating – vegetarian, vegan, paleo etc and eventually went back to school to become a Holistic Nutritionist. With her RHN certificate in hand she walked out the school doors eager to help others FINALLY feel the joy and ease she felt with food. She knew this meant everyone had different dietary needs and wanted to meet people where they were on their health journey. She also knew that “50% of households are either directly or indirectly affected by food allergies.” and that meant their are A LOT of people that are going through the same food frustrations as she did. Amber’s transformed from Oil and Gas Marketer, to Holistic Nutritionist, to Food Cart Founder to the Waffle Lady ! Throughout this journey she has remained fuelled by 1. The excitement of her personal experience figuring out how to intuitively eat in a way that made her feel like an energizer bunny 2. The frustration of finding sub par, cardboard foods in the grocery stores & restaurants that were filled with major allergens or poor quality ingredients FAST FORWARD TO TODAY True Taste Cafe has grown into a brand on a mission to help families experience joy and ease – 1 waffle at a time 😉 From 1 little food cart to 125 retail locations were just getting started.Read their story
