Jose Barbacuban Juarez was grilling as a hobbyist in Ocala FL when his wife Kelly encouraged him to audition for Americas new grill star on the national tv show Live with Kelly and Michael. His Cuban fusion dish and mojo mustard sauce stood out and won the grand prize $10,000 and title Americas new grill star. The signature sauce was named 455 after Jose used a 455 GTO piston to press his winning dish ( a combo of an American burger and a Cuban sandwich) Barbacuban family of sauces has expanded to seven flavor-forward sauces that cater to health-conscious food enthusiasts and a new seasoning called Cuban dust.
