Allie June began designing custom handbags and accessories in 1998, teaching by day and sewing long after her children were tucked into their beds. She sold her handmade small-batch bags online for years, primarily supplying boutiques with one-of-a-kind collections curated from high-end fabric remnants and bamboo handles. She opened her flagship store on the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 2015, in an effort to bring a pop of color to her barrier island community. If you visit, you can expect to hear customers chatting about the current beach conditions, while purchasing blankets and bags for special occasions, and of course giving Willis, the shop pup, the attention he adores. The little waterfront shop has weathered some heavy storms over the years, but Allie remains anchored to her roots and her love for all things colorful, embracing the belief that everything is better when you share it with people you love.
