Prior to having children, I was always happy with my skin. But after I had kids, my skin became increasingly irritated. I started having hyperpigmentation, acne, and scarring, and I felt insecure about them. I used to like going out without makeup, but that changed. I tried a number of products and had some discomfort from them. Some made my problem worse, and others apparently showed some promise, but not a lot. Frankly, I really wasn’t sure. My routine required me to use many different products, and I had no clue which ones worked and which ones did not. I simply did not have the time or patience to experiment that way. Why do we need more than four products for a facial routine? What are all these chemicals and iffy ingredients anyways and can we really trust them? These questions drove me to my AHA! Moment which led to lots of research on natural skincare alternatives. I also took some courses in skincare, to hone my skills. After 1 year of testing and retesting, Karamel Beauty was born!
