About Written by Maria

My love for handlettering started in middle school and I started lettering on anything I could find! Then in 2018, Written by Maria first “started” with no intentions of actually opening up a biz. Once I attended my first crafters market, that’s when it started developing into more than just a hobby. Back in 2015, I started at my hometown market in Central Illinois selling only handlettered pallet wood signs. Three years later, I started social media and decided to take my lettering to other products-- stickers and cards. I had a scary (and very exciting!) purchase in 2020---- meet my laser machine Purchasing the laser has allowed me to expand my product offerings. I have transitioned into creating car charms, journals, keychains + more! From there, it's grown in a way I'd never imagined. I am so blessed with amazing customers who support this dream of mine. What a wild ride this has been, but forever so thankful for this space🤍 Today, I'm here to serve YOU!
