In 1995, Teresa founded the first Yemanja care institute in La Chaux-de-Fonds. From the start, convinced of their benefits, she offered traditional treatments incorporating her Brazilian origins, notably by producing some of the cosmetic products used in her treatments herself. Indeed, her grandmother, an Amazonian Indian, passed on her extensive knowledge of ancestral herbs and plants. The name 'Yemanja' refers to a Brazilian deity (of African origin), mother of nature deities and queen of the aquatic world. Teresa applies all her treatments while staying connected to her intuition and making good use of her uncommon knowledge. It is with respect for her origins and by maintaining her philosophy of natural care that the foundations of the company are laid. Respect for personality, nature, and a holistic approach are the values that are still conveyed by the Yemanja company to this day.
