About Piebird Studios
I got laid off, and instead of spiraling, I started cutting things up. Collage became my therapy and my creative outlet. A year later I hurt myself and couldn't do much of anything, so I picked up a pen and some markers. Turns out I could draw. Now I'm getting into painting and I truly cannot be stopped. I'm Robin — the one-woman show behind Piebird Studios. What comes out is bright, a little cheeky, and full of animals with unmistakably human feelings. The kind of image that makes you snort-laugh before you realize you're smiling. Kids love it. Adults love it. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and neither do I. I don't think art needs to be precious to be good. It just needs to make somebody's day slightly better every time they walk past it. And when someone finds a piece of mine and decides it belongs in their home? That's why I do this.
