Piebird Studios started the way a lot of good things do — out of nowhere, right when I needed it. I got laid off, and instead of spiraling, I started cutting things up. Collage became my therapy and creative outlet. A year later I hurt myself and couldn’t do much, so I picked up a pen and some markers and started drawing. Now I’m getting into painting and I truly cannot be stopped. I’m Robin, the one-woman show behind Piebird Studios! My work lands somewhere between whimsical and a little cheeky. Bright colors, animals with unmistakably human feelings, and the kind of images that makes you snort-laugh before you even realize you’re smiling. Kids love it. Adults love it. People who claim they “don’t really do art” somehow end up wanting a piece on their wall. That wide appeal is something I genuinely cherish. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and neither do I. At the heart of all of it is a belief that art should be accessible. Not precious. Not intimidating. Just something that brings a little joy into your everyday space. Every original comes in a thrifted, vintage, or repurposed frame, because I think the whole object should have a story. Prints are packaged in a sealed clear sleeve with a backing board and stamped with the Pie Bird Studios logo — tidy, professional, and ready to go straight to a customer’s hands.
