What man has never had to choose between style and comfort? Between dress shoe and sports shoe? And yet, what man has never wanted to be elegant and comfortable at the same time? That's it, none. It is from this observation (and a few others) that the UPSTER men's shoe brand was born. There are so many men's shoe brands no longer count. However, among those offering prices that are still accessible to a large part of the French population, few of them combine design and real comfort. At Upster, we differentiate ourselves today, by providing a solution to this problem with high-end, ultra-comfortable shoes at an affordable price. Upster is a singular, daring and Breton brand. The name UPSTER is a nod to the Breton language and to the mixture of cultures dear to the founder. “Ster” means “star” in Breton. Upster could therefore be translated as “rising star.” Our Derby models and the shapes in which they were designed all bear the name of an emblematic place in Brest: the Georges Lombard and Commandant Malbert quays, the Rue de Siam and the Penfeld, the “river” dividing the city into two banks, right and left, before flowing into the harbor.Read their story
