Meet the Artisan Sherrie is a microbiologist and educator, who grew up in a family where both traditional and modern medicinal practices were embraced. She uses her African and Native American family traditions, passed down through multiple generations, to develop her custom essential oils and other self-care products. She has also worked in the candle industry as a senior quality assurance laboratory technician for the Yankee Candle Company, where one of her jobs was to inspect incoming fragrances via blind smell tests, to ensure accuracy and quality of each batch.Read their story
