Rootsy was founded by a nutrition coach and trainer from Colombia with a simple but powerful mission: to bring the nutritional benefits of cassava (yuca) to the frozen aisle in a way that is clean, delicious, and accessible. Growing up in Colombia, cassava wasn’t a trend — it was a staple. A real, nourishing ingredient that fueled daily life. But when we looked at the frozen breakfast category in the U.S., we saw something different: long ingredient lists, fillers, added sugars, and ultra-processed options. We knew there had to be a better way. So we built Rootsy. At Rootsy, we go back to the root — literally and intentionally. Our waffles are made from cassava and a short list of real ingredients you can recognize and trust. No added sugar. No grains. No seed oils. No gums.
