A Roasting House It was 1977 when Ângelo Marçal, returned from Angola, opened the door of Casa dos Cafés Portela, with “a small machine and a few cups of clay where we served coffee”. At that time the coffee tasted itself in passing and took, to the taste of the customer, home. Little by little came coffee accessories, pastries, chocolates, teas, light meals and the opening of new stores, always in the Lisbon region.
