The GENUSSKOARL company was founded in October 2016 with great commitment by DI Karl Severin Traugott, with the aim of exclusively producing food from organic, regional ingredients. Karl Severin Traugott is a graduate of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna and came into contact with the art of brewing at an early stage as the offspring of a beer brewing dynasty in the 8th generation. After completing his studies in food science, Traugott stumbled upon the “inconspicuous” legume lupine: Traugott began experimenting with the plant, combined with domestic (cereal) products. After a year of tinkering, the “WienerSpirze” was born. On the market for almost four years, the number of fans at home and abroad is growing inexorably and production was expanded in 2019. The next (successful) product from Genusskoarl followed in 2020, the “TirolerSpice” and now the Genusskoarl miso from chickpeas in 2021. Read their story
