Megatan was born from a simple idea between two university friends with a shared entrepreneurial spirit and a love for beauty and wellness. While searching for a quality tanning salon, we noticed a gap in the market—there just wasn’t anything local that met our standards. One of us, having been referred UV tanning on the NHS for a skin condition, became fascinated with the science and safety of tanning. That experience sparked our deeper interest in the tanning industry and inspired us to take the leap. We opened our first salon in Birmingham, driven by the goal to offer safe, affordable tanning solutions. But our ambition didn’t stop there. Knowing that modern beauty consumers shop online, we quickly launched a website and began growing a presence on TikTok Shop—meeting customers where they already were. Fast forward 18 months, and Megatan has become one of the UK’s most trusted names in tanning. We've sold over 100,000+ tanning creams and partnered with many retailers across the country. What started as a local salon is now a thriving wholesaler helping businesses nationwide bring premium products to their shelves.
