Hi There! I'm Alyssa Thorne - a fantasy artist from the Pacific Northwest, creating dark, atmospheric still-life photography inspired by the liminal beauty and symbolism of 17th-century Dutch paintings. Each of my works is meticulously constructed by hand, incorporating painted, drawn, and sculpted props alongside florals, antiques, and other carefully chosen materials—all arranged into physical sets, photographed with practical effects, and without digital compositing. Rooted in a deep love of storytelling and infused with nostalgia and wonder, my artwork transforms the essence of beloved books, films, games, and personal stories into immersive, original imagery. These images are reimagined as tangible creations—fine art prints, postcards, and more—that serve as tools for imagination, portals inviting collectors to dream and explore worlds beyond their own. Every product I create is crafted with intention, designed and inspected by me to ensure it represents my work with the utmost care. I use only the highest quality papers and inks to capture the depth, detail, and emotion of the original piece. All items are lovingly packed by me ( and sometimes my family!) at my small home studio in Washington state.
