A graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Marla has 40+ years experience in the food industry. Her culinary experiences range from owner of an artisan bakery and catering business, vocational college culinary instructor to a corporate Executive Pastry Chef. She was also an Executive Chef in the private club industry and a restaurant owner. Her knack for public speaking, zany sense of humor, vast culinary knowledge and well-developed palette make Marla a “must” at many culinary venues. With the collaboration of Lyn Cloninger, Marla co-created “PHOOD on Main,” an upscale, fine dining restaurant/catering company. Lyn had many years in the food business including 8 years as the General Manager of fine dining city club. Now you are able to purchase their seasoning line, 13 blends, that Marla created over many decades.
