Twisted Goat Coffee started as a small idea, fueled by a relentless pursuit of the perfect cup of coffee. We envisioned a brand that not only provided high-quality coffee but also embodied the spirit of adventure and the great outdoors. We wanted to craft a coffee that was meant for adventure, one that you pack in your backpack, alongside your French Press to enjoy when you’re out exploring. In 2017, we bought a roaster and began the learning process, experimenting with different roasts and blends to create the products we share with you today. How Coffee Was Discovered We're passionate about great coffee and inspired by its legendary origin. The story begins with Kaldi, a goat herder in Ethiopia, and his mischievous goat, Ziggy. Ziggy discovered a plant with bright red berries, ate them, and became unusually energetic. Kaldi tried the berries, felt a burst of energy, and shared them with a local monk. The monk used the berries to stay alert during prayers. As the story spread, coffee cultivation began and reached the Arabian Peninsula. The name "Twisted Goat" honors Ziggy's mischievous nature and the twist of fate that led to coffee's discovery. Twisted Goat Coffee is committed to exceptional coffee experiences.
