About Crazy Green Studios

12/31/25 Update: I am in the final stages of securing our new studio, so while my shop is paused, please reach out if you are interested in any of my work! I have been making pottery in Asheville, NC for 20 years. In that time, my small production studio has withstood a recession and a pandemic, but it turns out that a hurricane is much harder to withstand. In September of 2024 I was a founding member of a thriving collective, plus I ran a separate production studio in Asheville's River Arts District. Hurricane Helene destroyed both studios, and I am in the process of rebuilding my business. Part of that rebuild is designing a new body of work for new firing sources, and what you see here is the beginning of that process. What remains the same: I make functional ceramics and accessories for home and professional kitchens, and a range of branded work for retail or gifting. My work in clay is driven by a deep appreciation for the way food brings people together, and I draw inspiration from the textures of nature both visible and tactile. I understand how the presentation of a dish can elevate a dining experience. Handmade ceramics offer cooks at all levels unique opportunities to present their creations on pieces that reflect the same care, creativity, and intention that goes into their food.
