About Crazy Green Studios

I am so happy to welcome you to my world and work here, and want to share a brief bit of just how I came to be here. I have been making pottery in Asheville, NC for almost 20 years. In that time, my small production studio has withstood a recession and a pandemic, but it turns out that a hurricane is much harder to withstand. In September of 2024 I was a founding member of a thriving collective, plus I ran a separate production studio in Asheville's River Arts District. Hurricane Helene destroyed both studios, and I am in the process of rebuilding my business. Part of that rebuild is designing all new work to be fired in Mid-Range oxidation kilns, which involves all new clays and glazes. The work here is that new work. What remains the same: I make functional ceramics and accessories for home and professional kitchens. I also design and make a decorative line of carved vessels. My work in clay is driven by a deep appreciation for the way food brings people together, and I draw inspiration from the textures of nature both visible and tactile. I understand how the presentation of a dish can elevate a dining experience. Handmade ceramics offer cooks at all levels unique opportunities to present their creations on pieces that reflect the same care, creativity, and intention that goes into their food. From service ware to the smallest condiment bowl, my work is designed for those who value fine craft at every level and understand that Homemade Tastes Better on Handmade. Read their story
