About Inklings Art

Inklings was born out of a love of lettering, words, concepts and the beautiful, verdant, sometimes hostile but always immensely varied United Kingdom. Each intricately hand drawn artwork takes around 8–10 days to complete, starting with the research. There are designs for 17 counties to date, with Durham as the most recent one, and there are lots more in planning – The Cotswolds, Cheshire, Scotland, Wales, Lincolnshire; the list goes on. The entire portfolio now includes a stable of British counties, private commissions, dog breeds and an extensive range of UK produced merchandise including tote bags, tea towels and, more recently, melamine coasters. All our prints are customisable, enabling them to be produced as beautiful personalised gifts for that special someone who is so hard to buy for.Read their story
