About Crown & Heart

Crown & Heart is the brand name behind my (Sara Kharatyan) collection of modern ceramic jewelry. Created in 2017, the brand is designed to complement any wardrobe with statement pieces ranging from unique and colorful to simple and classic. Each piece is handmade by me in my home studio. The porcelain is cut, dried, and smoothed. Then, each piece is hand painted with a variety of glazes in several layers before being fired. Real 22k gold luster or pearl accents are then added before a second firing. I then assemble and package each piece of jewelry, combining elements of metal, wood, glass, and fibers. Crown & Heart offers a new small batch collection each year, so customers can continue to collect this unique, OOAK wearable art. I am based in Kansas City, Missouri and work as an part-time elementary school art teacher outside of the studio. I am also a wife and mother to two boys. I am a one-person business, so please be mindful when placing orders and check the posted lead time, which can be as long as 3 months when I have high order volumes. I do not accept cancellations if the ship date falls within the posted lead time. Porcelain is a light-weight and durable ceramic, but it is breakable. Pieces should be handled and displayed with care, and customers should be advised to treat their new jewelry as they would any other ceramic ware, taking caution not to drop it on hard surfaces.
