In the heart of Lomellina, a historic land of Italian rice, stands Cascina Alberona: the tangible symbol of a passion cultivated for generations. The company was founded in 1988 by Luigi Ferraris, who, after studying agriculture at the Institute of Castelfranco Veneto, inherited the farming legacy of his ancestors, who managed the farms "La Felicità," "Montebello," and "Alberona," bringing with him ancient knowledge and respect for the land. Today, Cascina Alberona cultivates rice, corn, and poplars on 130 hectares, working with dedication and environmentally friendly methods. The company has specialized in the production of high-quality rice, focusing on the most prized varieties — Carnaroli Classico, Baldo Classico, S. Andrea Classico, Vialone Nano, Arborio, and Originario — for an annual production of about 700–800 tons of paddy rice. The cultivation is guided by principles of sustainability: crop rotations, green manure, and winter flooding of the rice fields help preserve soil fertility and natural balance.
