About Orethic

As a responsable consumer, I wanted my son to come to the world to help, not to increase the amount of trash by using disposable diapers etc. So, I researched, I tried many different options, I found what worked for me and I decided to share what I learned to make the lives of others easier! My Spanish company, Bebés Ecológicos S.L., was conceived in 2001, and born in 2002. Many people asked me: what is an ecological baby? My answer was always along these lines... The one who respects the planet and chooses natural ways such as being born at home, breastfeeding, uses organic clothing and washable diapers, plays outside, eats mostly veggies and fruits, prefers homeopathy when needed... After the long lecture, they stopped asking questions and our company name became a descriptive name for all those babies who had a natural upbringing! A newspaper title put it this way: Bebés Ecológicos, born to be Green! In 2008 we moved to Michigan and after settling down in co-housing, meeting our home schooling community, Dolores set up Orethic, organic and ethical in 2013. Once again, she is trying to share what she thinks is best for children, the local economy, the planet. She designs and makes products with love to spread goodness and beauty and to promote ethical business practices. She enjoys to share her truth, integrity and cooperation between people and entrepreneurs of good will. Hopefully our customers at Faire also share those values and our community can grow ever larger! Read their story
