Howdy! I'm Mel, a Northern Michigan I’m a Northern Michigan native living in Southwest Colorado with my husband, Mason, and our rescue pup, Bandit. I create contemporary art that explores what the American West looks and feels like today. My business began in the throes of the pandemic when the world shut down and I found myself seeking a way to cope. It felt like a returning to myself, rediscovering my passion for art and creativity. Fast forward to 2026 and here I am, still doing this thing! Living in Southwest Colorado, the spirit of the West infuses my life and my work - it's not just visible in the finished artwork, it informs and fuels my creative process from beginning to end. It's not just the landscapes of the Southwest that draws me in, but also the people, culture and history. Painting is a way to stay rooted and connected to my home while continually discovering new ways to interpret and experience it. My fine art prints are printed in house using archival quality inks and paper. They are individually checked by to ensure the highest quality possible.
