About Flora's Soaps and Oils

Flora’s Soaps and Oils is a family owned business located in South East Melbourne, Victoria. We specialise in body care, hair care, skin care and laundry/cleaning. Our passion is to create a high-quality handmade products that are better for the skin, hair and body. Flora's Soaps and Oils was born out of a love of good handmade soap and natural skincare. What prompted me to start making my own handmade products was when my son started having skin sensitivities. My very first soap was laundry soap and goat milk soap. And not long after I started grating the laundry soap and used it as my laundry powder. Eliminating commercially made soap and other household products was the key to helping my son's skin. We have never looked back since! I have been making soaps and skincare for a few years now. Handmade soaps have been in our family for over 20 years. I met my husband back in 2014 and I have been using handmade soaps since then. And, in June 2017, my mother in law showed me how to make handmade soap. There is a lot of knowledge and expertise when it comes to skincare and soap making in our family. I am grateful for the journey and have very much enjoyed doing my own research, reading and testing. I have always been interested in DIY skincare and other products. From DIY moisturisers, to face masks, to hair oil/mask, to hair removal wax, to body butters, to lip balms. I have always been drawn to making my own natural, chemical free products. Read their story
