About däv

däv is an independently owned brand. We design and wear-test each style and work together to create beautiful, well-made footwear. däv is sold in better independent stores/online retailers and higher end departments stores. Our first collection launched in 2008, and quickly garnered a strong fan-base for the comfort, quality and on-trend design. The däv brand is designed in the resort village of Ojai California by footwear industry veteran David Sengstaken. Dave and his wife Kerri have worked for many famous footwear and fashion labels before starting their own lines. Wanting to simplify and make a smaller enviro footprint, they created an eco-friendly shipping container studio on their small, organic farm, and together create each däv style. In the company of rescue animals, chickens, horses and goats, each product construction is tested in the rugged trails of the mountains of Southern California.
