Paper Moon Origami Co. was founded in 2020 as an artistic outlet and passion project, by Katie, a structural engineer and lifelong artist based in Sarasota, FL. Paper Moon transitioned to a full time operation in 2021 and has flourished under full time management, and is currently expanding to locations throughout the eastern US (and hopefully beyond!) Katie has been working with origami since she was a teenager, and because she likes to put a little of herself in everything she does, each style of jewelry is dedicated to an influential woman in STEM. From overlooked scientists and architects to engineers who broke barriers, each piece of jewelry highlights an inspiring story of perseverance and accomplishment from the women in STEM who paved the way for our futures.
