In 2011 my mom, Maggie, started this company because we lost our labrador to toxic pet treats. From then on she only made treats at home for our other dog. She experimented with many kinds of treats and landed on dehydrated, single-ingredient treats made from human-grade food. If you don’t know, it may shock you what goes into a lot of pet food/treats. My stepfather, Bruce, and she began expanding and became a Hamptons' staple. You could find them at most of the farmer's markets on the East End. Tourists and locals alike all loved being able to bring home a gift for their pets knowing that our products were made with high-quality ingredients. Relationships began to form and many loyal customers were made. In 2020 our family had a devastating loss. My mom passed from lung cancer. Bruce and I continued the business the best we could but at this point, understandably, his heart was not in it anymore. Today, my heart is in this for the long haul. Hi - I'm Michaela the now owner of Talk Treats. Something deep within me told me to not let this business go.
