About Moon Man

Since opening in 2017, Moon Man has been a fixture of NYC’s food market scene, combining nostalgia and culinary innovation through their modern take on Southeast Asian street food. Nigel Sielegar, who grew up in Indonesia, have yearned to introduce fellow New Yorkers to the delicious desserts and snacks served on the streets of Indonesia. During the pandemic, Moon Man pivoted their business by creating the highly acclaimed kaya jams that have been featured in many notable publications such as the NewYork Times, and Food & Wine magazine.
