About Las Changuis Tianguis

Hey there! I'm Eli, the one woman show behind Las Changuis Tianguis. Originally from Sonora, Mexico, I'm a former educator, mamá of two changuis, and a lifelong creative. Las Changuis Tianguis is a love letter to my Latine/Chicanx community, born from a need for designs that reflect who we are and where we come from (beyond the usual stereotypical stuff, ya know?). I take current trends and reclaim them through a lens of home, humor, and nostalgia. In a way, all my designs are an inside joke. If you know, you know. As the eldest daughter of an immigrant family, this shop has been a healing journey. I do it all myself, from designing and packing to running markets, with heart and intention. In other words, I’ve been preparing for this unpaid CEO role since I was organizing my siblings’ dentist appointments at age 10. It’s a reminder that we aren’t just here to survive — we get to create, to share, to laugh, to remember. My art resonates with customers looking for cultura, connection, and stories that feel like home. I hope my work brings a little joy to your shelves and your community.
