Welcome to The Soap and Shine! At The Soap and Shine, we're passionate about crafting artisan soaps and skincare products that elevate your daily routines. Our journey began during "Dry January" of 2020, as a fun way for my husband and me to spend quality time together. What started as a simple experiment soon transformed into a full-fledged passion for soap making. When unforeseen circumstances, like the COVID-19 pandemic, led to reduced work hours, I found solace and inspiration in returning to soap making—this time, on my own. Growing up in a household of avid cooks, I discovered that my culinary skills seamlessly translated into creating exquisite soap blends. Through 1000s of hours spent in our soap lab, experimenting with various recipes and learning from online soap making communities, my confidence soared, and so did the quality of our products. We hold our creations to the highest standards, ensuring that every soap, bath bomb, body butter, and more are individually tested for perfection. Our product range has expanded to include an array of delights, from nourishing lotion sticks and invigorating sugar scrubs to refreshing shower steamers and soothing bath salts. Our latest addition is liquid soaps and candles. We pride ourselves in being eco-friendly, plastic free (minus lip balms, but they are recyclable). In 2024 we opened our first brick and mortar store in Chapel Hill, NC. No worries, we still sell at the local farmer's market!Read their story
