About Silk Squirrel

Tina Gleave is a Master Silk Painter who creates with you in mind. Her designs are inspired by her natural surroundings in Humboldt County, California, and are worn around the world. Starting with hand painting the design directly onto silk, Tina starts her process using silk dyes and squirrel-tail brushes. Once she has completed her design, it is steam-set for durability. Once she is happy with the outcome, it is photographed, then digitally printed directly onto 100% silk to become your favorite scarf or kimono or Tina uses silk georgette, silk satin, and silk twill for most of her designs. Every wearable is truly a work of art! Silk Squirrel receives yardage of the various designs, which are then cut and sewn here in the US using patterns developed by Tina.
