Megan Benson, owner of Sheep Farm Felt and Queen of Felt Ball Land, began making felt ball garlands in 2014 as a means to use and share the wool from her parent’s sheep farm in New Jersey. Growing up on the farm, Megan acquired a deep knowledge and respect for the process of transforming sheep’s wool into handmade felt products; a unique quality that sets her apart from other makers in this space. However, after only a few months in business, the demand for Sheep Farm Felt’s offerings quickly outgrew the family farm’s supply. Today, all of Sheep Farm Felt’s wool is ethically sourced from a sheep farm in New Zealand, felted by certified fair-trade female artisans in Nepal, and assembled and packaged with love in their Egg Harbor, New Jersey studio. Sheep Farm Felt believes in making a positive and lasting impact on the communities and they serve around the globe. This is made possible through steady growth, continued product innovation and the love and support of their loyal customers.
