About Flourish Plant

Kate Ferguson and Lila Sullivan are the co-founders of Flourish Plant, a plant care brand bringing better-for-you and sustainable products to the next generation of plant parents. The pair launched their first product, Flourish Plant Food, an organic houseplant fertilizer, in 2022. Kate came up with the idea for Flourish while attending The University of Texas. Her plants were dying in her apartment, her dad was pushing her to use a synthetic product, and she simply could not find a better option. A lightbulb went off, and Flourish Plant was born. Kate asked lifelong friend Lila Sullivan to join her in building Flourish with the vision of revolutionizing the plant care space, one indoor gardener at a time. The two met 10 years prior, competing against each other on the national science fair circuit in high school, and share a deep love of the natural world. Science, sustainability, and efficacy are the core tenants of the brand. Flourish takes cues from cutting-edge innovations in organic agriculture and makes them available for the houseplant consumer in a way that is both novel and beautiful.Read their story
