About Happy Cooking Cards

Happy Cooking was created when I started food blogging after graduating from college. I had a new Visual Arts degree, so I started with the idea of creating recipes with my favorite ingredients and I painted watercolors of those foods to accompany my recipes. Over time, that idea developed when my mom asked for a recipe for her favorite dish, bruschetta. I had already painted a bruschetta watercolor, so I made a recipe card with the painting on the front and the recipe on the back. This evolved into what Happy Cooking cards are now, a cover with original artwork, a recipe on the inside cover, and a perforated edge that allows you to detach the recipe card for collecting (they fit perfectly in a standard recipe box!). In the past two years, I have created over 100 unique paintings and recipes of my favorite baked goods, holiday dishes, birthday cakes, and craft cocktails. Happy Cooking includes several themed collections that encourage cooking and collecting all year - Happy Birthday, Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Baking, Happy Holidays, Happy Valentine's Day, and more. My goal with my cards is to create an entirely new kind of greeting card - one that is artistic, educational, thoughtful, and collectible. I want as many people as possible to get that spark of joy I've seen when you open the card and realize that you've been given much more than just a card. I am constantly inspired by new ideas and I am so excited to continue cooking up new designs as I grow. Read their story
