Maker for the US House of Representatives 117th Session (2021-2022) Official Voting Card Wallets. Each US Congressperson now carries a Black Bear wallet as part of their official duties. Michael, owner and head maker, has been making and retailing his own leather goods full time since 2016. Michael has made and sold over 7,000 finished leather goods. Most all of these pieces has been stamped with the signature Black Bear logo. Black Bear Leather makes all of their products using American Made Full Grain Vegetable Tanned Leather. Vegetable Tanned Leather is different than 99% of leather consumer leather goods. This tanning process uses Tannins derived from tree bark to create leather. As opposed to an industrial chemical formula. Black Bear believes in making long lasting products of the utmost quality, while always adhering to the foundational principals of environmentalism and sustainability.
