About Moore Honey

Moore Honey was founded in 1999 when Chris Moore, a first-generation beekeeper, acquired a bankrupt bee operation. Since then, the challenges of beekeeping have grown significantly, making it more difficult than ever. As a result, many so-called "beekeepers" have turned to importing honey from other states and even overseas at lower costs, often mislabeling it as "Local" or "Texas" honey. In 2014, in response to this growing issue, we began bottling our own honey and offering it directly to local consumers. By 2024, we are proud to bottle and sell 100% of the honey we produce under the Moore Honey name.Read their story
