About Grip-a-Baby

Two members of our team, Colleen and Mike, were handling their newborn daughter. Her little bodysuits looked cute but proved too slippery for comfort on a few scary occasions. They wanted to get a better hold of their baby, but their search for grippy baby clothing yielded nothing. Necessity, as they say, is the mother of invention! Mike and his brother, Jerry, have collectively worked in the apparel industry for more than 30 years. They utilized their know-how, contacts, and a test group of 9 families with their 12 babies (and lots of 10-pound bags of rice!) To create multiple prototypes until the innovative Gripsuit was perfected. The most exciting part was when every skeptical member of the test group was convinced the moment they held their baby in a Grip-a-Baby Gripsuit. They got a better grip! Read their story
