Kalon was born in January 2020 during the height of the Covid Pandemic. I found myself fed up with the dark spots left on my face from years of suffering with cystic and hormonal acne. I wasted a lot of money and time on skin care products that just didn’t work for my skin. It effected my confidence and the way I showed up in the world. After many negative experiences with prescription drugs and store bought products, I took control of my skin by educating myself on the ingredients used to make these products. I learned about toxic chemicals like parabens, fragrances, and sulfates used to create some of the most popular products. They are not only harmful to the immune system but may get absorbed through the skin, cause allergic reactions and harm to our internal organs. I made the decision to reduce my chemical usage with all producs, including skin care. I took matters into my own hands and created the perfect mixture of natural ingredients that would eventually help with dryness and hyperpigmentation on my face. The Shea Butter Head to Toe Moisturizer was my first creation. The results from using it every night for six months was remarkable! With my success, I felt confident enough to create more products for myself like body scrubs, lip balms, and makeup removers. I eventually began making them for family and friends who enjoyed them so much, they bought more and the the rest is history! Read their story
