Zingerman’s Coffee Company is a specialty roaster rooted in Zingerman’s - an Ann Arbor-based family of sister businesses, known for thier deep commitment to quality, education, and exceptional customer experience. The Zingerman’s story began in 1982, when founders Ari Weinzweig and Paul Saginaw opened Zingerman’s Delicatessen with a simple goal: to bring great food and great service to their community. What started as a small neighborhood deli quickly became a nationally celebrated institution, built on a philosophy of great-tasting, traditionally made food and a culture of generosity and learning. Rather than scaling through replication, Zingerman’s grew through a unique model: developing a “community of businesses,” where each new venture is independently managed but united by shared values, ownership, and vision. Food & Wine magazine named the Deli as “One of the top 25 food markets in the world” and included Zingerman’s in their first-ever list of “Great Restaurants to Work For". Zingerman’s Coffee Company was founded in 2003. Our goal is simple: to source and roast the great coffees of the world. The process of bringing our customers that simple cup involves a surprisingly intricate journey along with many people and relationships.
