About El Niño Tarifa

At El Niño we share a passion for the sea and respect for the environment. The freedom we seek is found in water and in the connection with nature. Its creators, Andoni Galdeano and Herbert Newman, given their proximity to the sports of gliding and Tarifa, are part of the first generation of professional windsurfers in Spain, who, moving away from their family and many of their friends, will leave behind the city, cement and stiffness to rediscover the freedom offered by the sea. Founded in Tarifa in 1999, El Niño is a sustainable clothing brand for children and young surfers. It is characterized by its design and vibrant colors. Its values are energy, adventure and respect for the sea and nature. A conscious brand, with sustainable practices within the scope of its action, seeks to have the lowest possible environmental impact. Its collections are made of organic cotton and it tries to minimize the impact through processes of recycling water and recycled materials. It also has the collaboration of ColorAdd — a unique, universal and inclusive language, developed through graphic symbols that allow the integration of 350 million people who cannot identify color: color blind people.
