Ains & Elke StyleHaus was created in 2014, out of a love for vintage fashion. Alixis Lupien, the founder and designer, is a self taught dress maker, and knitter. She pursued her passion for vintage and antique clothing, creating the StyleHaus for the modern person. Alixis' main goal is focused on inclusivity, as she designs for all genders, abilities, ages, sizes, and ethnicities. Any person who wants to feel and look like a million bucks should be able to do so. As a nerdy gal, Alixis tends to create a lot of clothing that satisfies the inner geek in all of us. Really loved these sets and know my audience would too. Order was delayed a month. Many items were 2-5” smaller than the brand size chart, which runs small compared to industry standard (6X is B: 52” W: 44”). I have a 29” waist - could barely fit the size L pants. Different pant pairs had different buttons. The size M shirt sleeves were 1” tighter than the size S. Online customers would not be able to find their correct size. I was so excited to stock these, but will be returning all.

I was so stoked to find Ains&Elke - I love their values and aesthetic and think my customers will too. Delayed shipments threw off my Halloween launch, but I get it happens. Mostly disappointed to find the clothes are small. It feels disrespectful to my plus size customers to sell them a size 6X that is 15-20” smaller than a 6X from other plus size brands. I will be cutting out the size tags and resizing before listing. Hope they improve sizing going forward!
