About Zephyr Maeleficarum

Hey there! I’m Kitsch—Queer, neurodivergent, sporting an invisible disability, and proudly non-binary. I started Zephyr Maeleficarum as a way to share the joy of scent and reclaim my time and energy after nearly a decade working in Medicaid as a civil servant. Launching my line of perfumes has allowed me the space to explore the indulgent side of creative outlets and the flexibility to spend more time in community. I have a deep love for queer, nerdy, and performance spaces, spending much of my time performing in drag and running tabletop roleplaying games. From the beginning, Zephyr Maeleficarum was about more than just fragrance. I wanted to challenge the outdated binary of “perfume” vs. “cologne” and create scent experiences that speak to anyone, regardless of gender. When people ask, “Which ones are for men?” I offer them a different lens—an invitation to explore what resonates with them, not what society prescribes. This spirit of liberation and self-expression runs through everything I make. My hope is that each bottle helps you tap into your own joy, your own story, and your own sense of self.Read their story
