About Schmoo.Pies

I'd love to tell you how I've baked all my life, that my momma baked and how she learned it from her momma or something beautifully southern like that. The truth is I started baking because I love chocolate. Period. My love of fudge, milk chocolate, and all things gooey started my desire to create something delightful for my family. Then similarly, a yummy something I could take to supper club or neighbors to elicit a smile and maybe a little joy. Eliciting joy is truly my happiest place. Bringing about a smile or happiness to others is the foundation for creating Schmoo.Pies. As a mother of teenage boys, I have an awful habit of cheering them on from whatever sideline I'm on by using their nicknames. My oldest is my Schmoopy. It was from there that my dear friend pointed out the plural and hence, Schmoo.Pies was born. Not to be left out, my youngest is an exact carbon copy of me and certainly my Mini Me, despite the fact that he is now taller than me, but you get the point. Our entire family contributes to Schmoo.Pies. From my husband reminding me to add my secret ingredient to the oldest being the delivery guy (order soon - he breaks my heart and heads to college soon ) and my youngest baking right beside me, each pie is created with love and laughter.
