Coming from a long line of Southern cooks, avid griller and cook Gena Knox was in search of flavor inspiration to enhance her home cooked meals—a way of cooking that was simple, healthy, and flavorful. That’s where the cedar plank comes in. Exploring the age-old Native American cooking technique, Gena found that cedar plank grilling infused food with a fantastic smoky flavor, was easy to prepare, and resulted in a beautiful presentation. After one taste of salmon grilled on a cedar plank, Gena and her husband, Davis, were hooked. Wheels turned, and soon, Fire & Flavor was born. As newlyweds, Gena and Davis started Fire & Flavor by selling cedar planks from their garage in Athens, GA. As the couple’s family grew, so did the company. They crafted new products, including brines, charcoal, seasonings, and more. Today, Fire & Flavor has grown to become the ultimate resource for unique recipes and all-natural offerings that easily take your home-cooked meals to the next level.

Products are decent but fair value for prices charged. But poor customer service!! Bag of charcoal was damaged and leaked all over the box it came in and they did nothing to rectify that problem as well!

My shipment of 50 cedar planks was delayed with no reason given. I finally had to involve a Faire moderator. Still, no communication, but a label was generated. Even though the label was created, they still didn’t ship the order for two more days. There was never a reason or apology issued. Don’t order these if you’re in. Any kind of hurry.

These are PERFECT for our fish market! They are especially wonderful for some of the smaller/finer fish we sell such as sole and rockfish that are often overlooked when it comes to cedar planks. We are very happy with the display box they came in and our customers love that they come with ties as well. These are already flying off our shelves. Thanks so much F&F!
