Smoke ‘n Sanity was started by a group of friends, Lori and Travis Aldridge and Brad and Michelle Freund. Lori was diagnosed with IBS and went on the Low FODMAP diet in 2014. We immediately found the available options for Low FODMAP seasonings and products were incredibly limited-Garlic and Onion are in almost everything! The driving force behind why we started selling Low FODMAP products was to help people. Everyone should be able to make one meal that is safe for the Low FODMAP person but is tasty, so no one feels like they are giving anything up. What really sets us apart from every other Low FODMAP product company on the market is we have found a way to strip the FODMAPs from garlic and onion leaving just the natural flavor-this is how our Essence products came to be. Our Essence products give us the ability to replicate almost any seasoning blend in a Low FODMAP version. We can also put the natural garlic and onion flavors back into other products to make them Low FODMAP. Every product we make is built from the ground up, we’re not just taking recipes and eliminating onion and garlic to make them safe.
