Inspired by a love for art and a passion for travel, artist Aleisha Nelson launched her personal creative business 'Art By Aleisha' in from her college dorm room. Today, (BY) ALEISHA is a one-of-a-kind art and design studio that blends design and adventure and serves as a space for Aleisha to creatively tell stories through her hand-illustrated cartography, photography, and design work. For Aleisha, art is never work, it’s an adventure - an opportunity to explore a new place, meet a new person or discover a new passion–and she’s always ready to go with a suitcase full of skills. Aleisha specializes in hand-painted watercolor artwork and hand-illustrated neighborhood and campus map design. Her first-ever product was a hand-painted neighborhood map of San Francisco, but today she has designs for over 250 cities and college campuses in the U.S. She is always looking to create custom maps for retailers and clients as those can sometimes be the most memorable projects.
