Our Story Blue Lilac started with a diagnosis that affects over 10% of women worldwide—endometriosis. This condition changed my life, and my skin turning it from radiant to highly sensitive and reactive to most traditional products. While I followed my treatment plan involving various surgeries, I wanted to take control of my health starting with what affected my confidence the most: my skin. So, I researched skincare ingredients and their effects on overall well-being, some ranged from questionable and irritating, and others were proven to have detrimental effects on long-term health. I stripped my routine down to the essentials, seeking gentler, more natural options. Then, something miraculous happened: I became pregnant! After the delivery, the hospital sent us home with a well-intentioned care package, including a lotion. But, after flipping the bottle and reading through its ingredients, I recognized many red flag ingredients that came up during my research. I didn’t feel comfortable using them on my newborn’s delicate skin. So, I decided to create my own skincare. I became a certified cosmetic formulator and developed Blue Lilac’s first product: a nourishing Body Butter made with natural ingredients. It kept my son’s skin soft and protected, preventing dry patches common during the first months of life.
