I am a tie-loving textile artist and the owner of Ogsplosh. Originally from the UK, I moved to Milwaukee in 1997 and brought my love for sewing with me. A lover of neckties, I found myself one evening in 2008, simply fiddling with one of my husbands ties. Determined to find a new and feminine way to wear those accessories I loved - the colors, patterns, the silk textures - I created a pleated necktie scarf that would become my signature piece. My husband, unfortunately, never got his tie back. I now have several designs for my necktie scarves and chokers, and I'm delighted to have found a new use for such a classic piece. I currently live in the Milwaukee area with my tie-less husband and two beautiful daughters.
